Tuesday

We Went Out Last (Friday) Night.

Seems like every time I get out I'm in the middle of a Kenny Chesney video.  There is a whole lot of weirdness going on out there.
And I love it.
someecards.com - Let's humiliate ourselves on a dance floor together.

Mrs. Albright, Mrs. Montgomery and I headed out with a gaggle of girlfriends to listen to one of our favorite bands and do a little boogie-ing.  I won't lie and pretend I wasn't looking for something to report.  As far as I am concerned, we found success.
Here's a little recap.
You just can't make this stuff up.
1.  I learned that Mrs. Montgomery likes the macho, gangsta look.  I personally thought the Beastie Boys pulled it off but it has been unpopular ever since.  Before you go thinking a married woman was chasing down young men on the dance floor, don't.  She was scoping out for a few of the single ladies with us.
2. I would like to personally thank the woman who followed me to the bathroom to ask my age.  Because of the language barrier it took some time to figure out what she wanted.  Alas, I am not up for entertaining her 20-something year old cousin who is coming to town soon.
True story.
3. If you have a stain on the crotch of your pants, please stand in front of the bathroom dryer until it goes away or go home and change.  If you do not, you will be have a new name - Captain Peepants.
4. If you are a true friend, you will NOT abandon your girlfriend on the dance floor with Captain Peepants.  It was a mass exodus.  I turned around and they were running.
Joke is on them because they missed some of the best dance floor laughs, including #10 on the list.
5. I do not understand these youngsters and their dance floor grinding trains.  It is wrong on so many levels.
Just say no.
6. The dance floor is a safety zone from all the wrongs in the world.  No fighting, please.  This is our happy place.

7. If I'm not at Chippendale's (and I'm never there), then I am not looking for a lap dance.  Same goes for Mrs. Albright who was offered one and never given the chance to say, "No, thank you."
8. If you are 50+ -- you are to old to offer up that lap dance.  I don't care how good you are at dancing or if you work out at the gym every day.
(Side note: that pillar by the dance floor is not a dancing pole)
9. I am in my 40s.  Why, oh WHY, would any 20-something think I need his full attention?  Just because I'm dancing doesn't make me a cougar.  And he already noted the wedding ring.  I've renamed Captain Peepants to YoYo.  He goes away, but he kept returning.
10. If someone rubs their butt against yours on the dance floor, you should always turn around and see who it is.  ALWAYS.  Guess what, Peepants/YoYo?  That wasn't me.  It was gracious of you to thank me for it, though.  If you had bothered to look, you would have seen a skinny 60-something white man shaking it for you.
Does this sound like your average night out?
Maybe you go to the wrong places.
Or is that me?

The Meeting

The writers of the RHOK have started holding monthly meetings to connect and plan.  I bet you didn't know that.  This is what last month's meeting looked like in my super messy game room.

I know what you're thinking.  You are wondering if we actually accomplish anything at these meetings.
The answer is... kinda.

Our meetings are appropriately dubbed the "RHOK Talk" because we don't have a shortage of things to say.
You are shocked.
Right?

At our April meeting, we planned some RHOK Outs for this summer and fall.
We really did.

At one point, I started taking notes when Mrs. Montgomery pointed out the absurdity of our conversations.
Keep in mind as you read on - what I'm about to share is only the portion that is appropriate to share.  The most hilarious snippet from Mrs. Hart was not bloggable.

There was some seriously funny stuff going down in the corner booth at Applebee's.

The following are snippets from our meeting.
  • Mrs. Montgomery: "Are we going to have a Mom Prom?"
  • Mrs. Montgomery (talking GCB): "Grace. Forgiveness. Mercy. You gotta PROVE it by your actions. Thank you, Jesus."
  • Mrs. Albright: "Just a good bunkin' ain't gonna do it."
  • Mrs. Montgomery: "Are we going to have a Mom Prom?"
  • Mrs. Priss: "We're gonna get shirts for $5! Oh, we don't like Gildan?"
  • Mrs. Montgomery: "Are we going to have a Mom Prom?"
  • Mrs. Montgomery to Priss: "You're a good ride."
  • Mrs. Albright to Priss: "What was that wiener taster we saw at Gordmans?"
  • Mrs. Montgomery: "Are we going to have a Mom Prom?"
  • We all bellyached over the trauma of fat-fingering our Drawing With Friends pictures while Mrs. Sinclair passed out iPhone pens for each of the housewives. PENS!
  • Mrs. Albright whined about the fact that no one was commenting on her Facebook post.
  • Mrs. Hart showed up in a hot pink Journey 4 Jugs shirt.  Discussion ensued.
  • Mrs. Albright began showing off screen shots of her extravagant pictures from Drawing With Friends.  (Someone requires a lot of attention)
  • Mrs. Priss showed Mrs. Albright the bruise on her butt.
  • Mrs. Priss showed off a picture of Mrs. Albright in a horrid outfit with camel toe that she previously promised to delete.  Priss and Albright find it hysterical that Priss - the picture taker - shows up in the picture and appears to be naked because her hair covers the strap of her shirt. I'd show you the picture, but then I'd have to kill you.
  • You will notice there are not a lot of quotes from Mrs. Sinclair and Mrs. Hart.  It's hard to quote the silent eye rolls.
  • The seersucker debate conclusion - 4 out of 5 housewives agree that boys between the ages of 3 and 70 should not be wearing seersucker.  Sorry, Mrs. Montgomery, you are just plain wrong.  Seersucker has limitations.
  • And while we are discussing Mrs. Montgomery's wrong-ness, Fort Worth is so much better than Dallas. So much better.
Be looking for invitations and updates on Facebook.  We want to see your face at our events this summer!

And did someone say MOM PROM?
Oh yes, she did.
It is going to be... (wait for it)... legend... ARY!

We are working on the details for this upcoming Fall.
It's gonna RHOK like no other!

Got RHOK OUT Tickets?

Hi RHOK friends!

Mrs. Sinclair here again. Have you ever tried to write a post waiting for the POTUS to announce Bin Laden is dead? Yah. Me either. But, alas, here I am. It's kind of distracting.

Anyway. I am going to be doing my best to remind y'all how much fun it's going to be on May 12, when we party with 918moms.com at El Guapo. Don't forget to pre-buy your tickets! We only have so many and most of those are gone. We want to meet all of you and can hardly wait!

In the meantime, I am going to give you a little taste of what we will be giving away. Remember we will have door prizes every 15 minutes! You just can't believe the cute goods we have girls. It's possible I just might forget to bring my finds with me to giveaway to you guys. I don't want to part with them!

We will also have several RHOK tees to giveaway, but also, for the FIRST time, we will have RHOK shirts to offer for sale! We are very excited to offer 2 styles. First our logo tee:

Secondly, we have a new tee we will offer for the first time:

What do you think about that??

All the RHOK ladies and 918moms.com are super thrilled to host this special lady's night out for you. Don't forget we also get to hear Sarah Roe, the coupon queen, too. That and the queso, alone, should woo you-let alone the chance to get out on the town with your friends and live it up!

It's super easy and safe to buy your tickets with PayPal. Just choose HOW you will be paying from the drop down menu and voila! If you have no PayPal access, contact one of us or send the RHOK an email and we will try and make other arrangements. Remember, if you do not prepurchase, they are $15 at the door IF we have any remaining. We don't want to miss you!

How to RHOK the State Fair

This past Tuesday, the ladies of the RHOK and a few friends decided to partake in 2 for 1 Tuesday at the Tulsa State Fair. We went without our children or husbands, in the middle of the day.

We highly recommend this.

We had our Fair Bingo Cards all ready to play. We had great food plans. We had no one complaining or whining. It was THE way to do the fair.

We did quite well on the bingo game. And then we chronicled them in the slideshow here below. Sure, you may feel you didn't NEED to see it, but we are givers. (Actually, ALL the pics for this post are in the slideshow, because well, there were a lot of pictures and I never could have fit them all in one post)

And now, here is the part where we talk about the food.  We tried as much as we could. There were 6 of us, and I may or may not have smuggled in plastic knives to cut things into bite size pieces so we could be more efficient with our eating and not make ourselves sick.

Okay, some of us were still sick. But, it was worth it.

We tried the Krispy Kreme hamburger.  It was underwhelming.  We had corn dogs and/or meat & cheese on a stick. Yum. One of us had a polish sausage dog.  Then we shared fried peaches, fried green beans, fried pickles, fried green tomatoes, fried snickers, fried twinkies, a few beers and did a wine tasting.  Yes, we did wine tasting at THE FAIR.

Actually, we started with wine tasting. We all agreed we might have stayed there all day. However, we had bingo and food to lure us away. We were very impressed with the wineries, all local ones. Testing could be done for $1 per wine.  Totally worth it!

So, make sure and peruse all our pictures. It's quite possible one of us rode a mechanical bull,  had a port-a-potty peeker,  saw a pregnant pigs water break, secretly took pictures of fellow RHOKer's backsides, and came in close contact with an actual camel toe.

Happy Fairing!

Compromise(d)

Compromise: it's a fancy word for adults, basically meaning to share.  Kids don't like to share and frankly, neither do I, no matter how you say it.  I am hearing this word thrown around a lot today on this real estate show I am watching. While it's being said by both parties about what they want in a house, it is always the woman who wins out. She is the one who gets HIM to compromise.  She, however, does not budge.

This is the way it should be of course, as we women use our wheedling ways for our gain all the time. The irony is that the men, have no clue whatsoever about all the wheedles, evil tricks, ways we can pull one over on them.

Take, for instance, when my own current spouse keeps looking for real estate and constantly telling and trying to sell me on different things all about town.  I have absolutely NO desire to move.  Therefore the constant discussions alerting me of new things he finds on the market and attempts to drag me unknowingly to look annoy me so much:  I may be on the hunt for husband number 8 very soon.  How many times can you ignore and they not get the hint? Thousands, apparently.  This brings me to compromise. I "compromise" by sort of listening to him and then promptly finding something I dislike about each and every suggestion.  See? Win, win.

Now, if my plan ever gets compromised I may be in a heap of trouble.  But compromised brings a whole OTHER dimension to the word.

Obviously compromised means found out: which is kind of like sharing unintentionally. Such as the way men folk speak in spy shoot'em up movies.  "We must move our HQ, our location has been compromised."  See what I mean?  If us woman folk ever have any of our secrets of compromise, compromised this may put us in, well, a compromising position. Therefore, its very important we stick together. OK?  That can't be a compromise. That is just an order.  (Sorry, I'm kind of bossy.)  But, that's how I get things done my way. Like I always say:
"Never underestimate the power of a woman to pull one over on you."

Have a wonderful Sunday, my lovelies.

~Mrs. Robinson~
