Lights, Wine, Breaking Dawn & Route 66 Half Marathon

I'm too tired to think of wonderfully creative title.
Heck, I'm tired from just typing the title.
We had so much fun at Lights On Main Street Jenks last week.
180 Kitchen & Bath Designs showroom is beautiful!

We believe every housewife should pick up
 these napkins this season.

Each of the RHOK girls brought their favorite wine to share.
Mrs. T & Mrs. A were professionals.

It wouldn't be a RHOK Out without a game.
The ladies traded papers to see who had
the highest score.
A former teacher "graded" this one.
Notice we said former.

180 Supergirl to the rescue!

180 has an awesome steam shower.
Of course a few had to try it out.

Mrs. Albright brought antlers. They are the accessory of the season.
Stop looking at our racks!
Go like 180 on Facebook.
Tell them the RHOK sent ya.
We love RHOK Outs because women connect.
Mrs. T & Mrs. D found out they were at OSU
at the same time & had a lot in common.

So it was on to Breaking Dawn 2

We had some fun in the theater.
And by "we" I mean Mrs. D.

Here is our "official" review by Mrs. Albright.
Yes that was her in her seat.
She looked so comfy.
Bye Bye Twilight franchise.

Mrs. Albright needed her rest.
She ran the Route 66 half marathon.
We are so proud of her.
My girls & I went down to provide some encouragement.
We saw quite a few girls we knew.

Mrs. A did AWESOME!
Here she is crossing the finish line.
She did it in 2 hrs. 35 mins.
Did I mention this was her first run, her first half?!
She's a stud.
So there you have it. A recap of a few events this weekend.
Are you ready for Thanksgiving?
Neither am I.
Off to a Pilgrim Play & the store.
When I give thanks this year.
It will include you.
xoxo,
Mrs. Montgomery

Cinco de Mayo RHOK Style

Do you know why we celebrate Cinco de Mayo? You may think it is Mexico’s Independence Day, but in the words of Mrs. Priss, "You're wrong!". Most Americans confuse this holiday with Mexico's Independence Day.  Cinco de Mayo is a celebration of the Battle of Puebla. The holiday commemorates the Mexican Army's 1862 victory over France at the Battle of Puebla during the Franco-Mexican War (1861-1867).

The RHOK celebrates Cinco de Mayo as it is a great excuse to enjoy yummy Mexican food & beverages. Hey, at least we try to educate you while using another country's holiday as an excuse to celebrate chips & salsa.
We didn't have our resident photog with us so we didn't capture many moments. Boo.
Please enjoy the few pics we snapped on our phones ;)

Mrs. B showing off her Chili's Swag

See what I mean about missing our photog?!

These sisters kept us laughing!

Cute Housewives

I may get in trouble for posting this one

And certain Housewives wonder why their children act "that way".

Finally, a nice pic of the RHOK.

Fun with Friends

Thanks to everyone who came out to celebrate Cinco de RHOK'O. Wish we had more pics to share of all the ladies. If you have event pics please email them so we can share. Special thanks to Amy & Don Livingston {GM}- Chili's Owasso for hosting a great event. Chili's provided fun giveaways which included a Kindle. They took great care of us so whenever you are in O-Town stop in & say hello.
How will you celebrate Cinco de Mayo this Saturday? I will be celebrating my 12th wedding anniversary, ole'!

RHOKo de Mayo

Don't forget to join us tonight! Cinco de RHOKo on Uno de Mayo. Fun, prizes, food, drinks!

Monday

You Might Call It a RHOK Out...

So, the housewives decided to try another weekend RHOK Out again last weekend. We'd had many requests for a weekend get-together and we were feeling pretty good with the RSVP's. But, it turned out to just be the housewives, hubbies and a few close friends who actually showed up. Yeah, not thinking the weekends are the time for RHOK Outs!

It didn't really matter to us though, as we had a terrific time! We met at Baker's Street Pub & Grill to hear Uninvited Guest perform. They are a great dance band playing fun music from the 80's! Baker's Street is personally not my favorite place to be on a weekend night. It's too crowded and such a "meat market", if you know what I mean. However, you do get to see things you might not typically see on a Monday night!

We were joined by two former RHOK Housewives - Mrs. Edwards and Mrs. Coco. It was great seeing them again. It had been too long. Thank you, girls, for coming!  My dear friend Kris also made it out to hang with us. We were missing Mrs. Hart though. She was sick. Boo! I, along with Mrs. Priss and Mrs. Montgomery brought along our hubbies. It made for a fun couple's night out. We need to do that more often. I love that I actually love these ladies AND their husbands.

Me, Mrs. Priss, Mrs. Montgomery, JennyKate (former Mrs. Edwards), Christy (former Mrs. Coco) and Kris.

The housewives minus Mrs. Hart

And, now, for a few candid photos of our evening....

Mr. and Mrs. Montgomery

Mr. and Mrs. Albright

Look who we ran in to? It's our RHOK friend, Patrick. He was there with his beautiful girlfriend. It was nice to meet her.
Yes, Mrs. Priss is wearing lots of glow-in-the-dark hoops on her ears!

We are sorry you weren't able to come hang out with us. You missed a good time. We will be planning future RHOK Outs. What night of the week do you think is best for RHOK Outs? Where would you like to see us host future events? We'd love your feedback.

P.S.
I just wanted to remind everyone who uses the iPhone app Instagram of our upcoming Instameet next Sunday, March 11 at McNellie's Pub, downtown Tulsa at 12:00pm. I know the 12:00 time is not convenient, but it's a worldwide meetup and Instagram set the time. We would love to meet you and learn about your favorite editing applications and tips. We will then go on an Instawalk in the downtown area.

Please follow our local group on Facebook - Instagram918

Please be sure to invite your friends that use Instagram as well and share the Facebook page with them.

Rockin' the RHOK Out, like.....

Why I love The RHOK

When The RHOK first launched a couple of years ago, I never dreamed I'd still be a part of it today. We've had our ups and downs, but that's to be expected when a handful of women collaborate on the same blog. We've had housewives on here come and go. It's not for everyone. One thing I've learned is you have to be a team player. If you can't play on a team, collaborating on a blog is not for you. You've got to put on your big girl panties and thicken your skin. It ain't for sissies!

Over the past two years we've held RHOK Outs on a regular basis. What's a RHOK Out, you may ask? It is when we schedule an event that we invite you to attend with us. We've had some pretty fun events, if I do say so myself. Some of the events are big and some are small.... all are fun.

We've gotten to be on T.V. That was nerve-wracking and exciting. It also opened some new doors for us. Our future is looking bright.

But, I really want to share about one of our housewives in particular.... Mrs. Hart. Mrs. Hart recently won a contest on Happy First. Debbie (the housewives love Debbie) at Happy First, has the cutest "chick" t-shirts. She was running a contest on a new "chick" name. Mrs. Hart submitted a few ideas and out of all the submissions her name, Super Chick, was chosen the winner. A portion of all the proceeds goes to the charity of Mrs. Hart's choice - Turn Tulsa Pink. Mrs. Hart, the other housewives and I are sure proud of you!

Here is the news segment about Happy First and the new T-shirts. We totally think you should purchase one of these tees. It's for a great cause.

Thanks to you, we've come a long way, baby!

Mrs. Albright

who is enjoying the ride.

Bring On the Mistletoe!

We had so much fun at our event last week!

We mixed & mingled & played lots of reindeer games!

Santa even stopped by to see who was naughty & nice.

All the ladies gave Santa a kiss, a Hershey Kiss, what were you thinking about?

We are so thankful for all the donations to John 3:16 Mission! One of the ladies brought 15 handmade scarfs from her neighbor. What an awesome blessing!

We will be posting more pics on our Facebook page so be sure to check it out this week.
I'll leave you with a video of holiday cheer.

Merry Christmas,
Mrs. Montgomery
