Wordless Wednesday: Okie Girls Night Out

It was Friday night.
We put these on.
Okie beverage of choice - 3.2 beer.
Yes, Okies get half the beer you do when it comes to the percentage of alcohol.
And just because we could, we took dance lessons.
Can't even begin to tell you how hard this made us laugh.
This dude had some smooth dancing moves.
He really did.
We would demonstrate for you if we could.
With the arrival of Pat, we started the sister wives story.
It's all about Big Love.
Pat didn't mind one bit.
He's our honorary housewife.
He didn't mind line dancing with the ladies.
And he might have giggled like a school girl when a 70 year old man asked me to dance.
I declined, by the way.
It almost killed his buzz.
So that's how an Okie girls night (plus Pat) goes.
A Friday night at the Caravan Cattle Company.
Yes, we did.
We really did.

Wordless Wednesday - Itsy, Bitsy Spider

While dining on a patio at Great Wolf Lodge a wasp was flying around carrying this spider.

My daughter was a little freaked out about it flying around.

My husband is terrified of spiders, but was doing his best to contain himself - until it landed on his shoulder!!!!  And then he jumped up, spilt his beer and screamed like a girl. I so wish I had a picture of THAT!

If you're participating in Wordless Wednesday this week we would love to have you link up with us. We'll be by to share some blog love if you do.

You can also link up with 5 Minutes 4 Mom for more Wordless Wednesdays.

Wordless Wednesday: A RHOK'n Local Giveaway

When local photographer Simply Serena recently contacted The RHOK and wanted to host a giveaway including a photo session with a few RHOK'in kiddos, we jumped at the opportunity! Why? Well, we love seeing our kids in the spotlight. Who doesn't? Especially when they are as pretty as these two. Okay, okay, so we are biased- its our blog, we can be!

Serena's passion for photography began with the love for photographing her four beautiful children.  Capturing their fine details like a wrinkled nose, tender smile, puckered lips, or the kick of a soccer ball all led to the inspiration to share her talent with others.

"I believe my trademark to stand out from the rest, and by this I enjoy getting the real personality of my client while at the same time telling some kind of story…if I can show this, then I believe my work is done!......I also tell people that I don’t pose often and when I do I still encourage natural expressions and moods!!", Serena said.

Our girl's loved their photo session. They felt like true runway models and loved being center of attention. After all, its not every day that they get to dress up in tutu's, get barefooted and roll around in the grass!

One of our RHOK'in readers will get a free session with Simply Serena, along with a 5x7 and 8x10 of their choice.* All you have to do to qualify is be a follower of The Real Housewives of Oklahoma and answer the following question. The lucky winner will be chosen by random.org after midnight on September 28, 2010.

What would you like Simply Serena to capture for you?

Mrs. Sinclair & Mrs. Hart,
mamma's to the 2 cute RHOKstars

*Simply Serena is located in Broken Arrow, OK. Arrangements of time and location of photo shoot will be made between Simply Serena and recipient of giveaway. All transportation costs to and from photo shoot will be provided by recipient of giveaway.

Wordless Wednesday (Sort of): The Center of the Universe

The Center of the Universe
Tulsa, OK

The Center of the Universe is located on the Boston Avenue Pedestrian Bridge between Archer and 1st Street in Tulsa, Oklahoma.  When you stand in the center of the circle you can hear your own echo, but no one else outside of the circle can hear it.  Behind the circle is a statue called Artificial Cloud by Robert Haozous.  On the statue are two big knockers.  There is a local legend that if you knock one of the knockers and make a wish, your wish will come true.  Perhaps in a few years I'll have to ask the two girls pictured if any of their wishes from their multiple knockings have indeed come true.

WW: Taking the Leap....

Here at the RHOK, all the mama's are busy, busy.  All our kiddos will be taking the big leap...BACK INTO SCHOOL this week or next.

So bye, bye summer?

While we can say that all we want, it's still ONE HUNDRED FREAKING degrees here. (Can I say freaking on here?)  So, that's not actually the case. In fact, I'm totally sneaking over to Mrs. Priss' pool and laying in it, while Jacob is off enjoying Kindergarten.

Dying of heat exhaustion,
~Mrs. Sinclair~

Wordless Wednesday at the RHOK

Since Mrs. Nesbitt and Mrs. Hart so boldly annoyed that Mrs. Robinson last week with their lack of photo takingness;  they were quick to step up this week.  Above is a Nesbitt girl doing her best watermelon rind smile imitation.

Here we have the Nesbitt clan partaking in something labeled on the pic as "snipe hunting". All questions about just what that is exactly should be directed to her.

And here we have the Hart boy, in his stance ready to hit something. That's right, football started 8/2/10 here in OK country. Who cares if its 111' y'all.  Football is football. My own boy started as well. After two nights of about 3 hours in 100+ temps: this is some seriously zapped mama. And that's why this is all that we have for WW!

Join 5M4M, and link on up with us so we can visit you right back!

WW: A Week in Review at the RHOK

Mrs. Priss visited the glory days at her HS Reunion.  This was the 10th, right Mrs. Priss?

Mrs. Sinclair's family welcomed a new addition: a niece!  Here is Miss Hadleigh with her great grandmother.

And another for good measure, because she's so cute. Too bad you don't have scratch & sniff for her baby head.

Mrs. McGillicutty is off gallivanting around Florida somewhere.

Making us all jealous with her fancy beach pictures.

Mrs. Nesbitt is still off her rocker.  So.....

Mrs. Albright has been clowning around as usual.

And has been pool partying with people I would tell to put clothes and masks on before I was caught dead in a photo with....She blends right in though, with her cute self and fancy hat.

Mrs. Hart must have had to go to bed early, because of her new gig. We'll excuse her and Mrs. Nesbitt. But, next week, I am expecting full-fledged participation from them both.

And me? Well, here's my view:

What? You don't believe me?

Oh, you know me too well.  This is really what I'm doing drinking.

Link up with us and play! Also, visit over at 5M4M!

The One and Only Mrs. Robinson,
