Since this is a housewife blog, it is time to offer you some practical housewife-y advice.
I'm not sure about your house, but over here there is only one way to sharpen a knife.It's a little unconventional, but I find that it works perfectly. Every time.
Step one: Purchase a watermelon.
Step two: Leave it on the counter.
Step three: Eventually your husband will quit waiting for you to cut open the watermelon and he will do it himself.
Step four: Now that your husband is using the knives, he will hate how dull they are... and he will sharpen them.
Knives sharpened with very little effort.It's a gift from me to you.
All the single ladies will have to find their own knife sharpening method.Good luck!
