20th High School Reunion Freakout

In approximately 48 hours, I will be joining the Wilson, OK High School Class of 1992 graduates- hopefully the 30 of us who are still living- along with our families, former classmates, parents and teachers for our
20th reunion.
Believe me it will be nothing like this...
It's a no cost, very casual affair in the "old" school cafeteria.
I have asked everyone to
B.Y.O.-
cups
(red solo is optional)
plates
napkins
drinks
and
snacks
We are only going to meet for two hours. With an option for the graduates to go out to dinner and an after party later that evening, once we all assemble and get a proper head count.
No worries, right? No sweat. Easy, peasy....

I'm not even going to begin to show you a picture of my bed with all the wardrobe changes I have tried.
(you would call Clinton, Stacy or Heidi  for sure)
But, I have cute toes and all of us housewives know the importance of that.
 Thanks Mother in Law!

Back to School - Cheering or Crying?

It is back to school time around our neck of the woods. Many of my friends are sending their babies off to kindergarten, middle school or high school for the first time. It is an emotional thing to send your baby off to school. Some moms are sad & some are elated.
Take for instance, Mrs. Albright, she is cheering quite loudly about her babies going off to school. She has one going to high school & one off to kindergarten. {Check out their beautiful faces on her post yesterday.}
She posted this ecard on Facebook with the following comment,

"Couldn't agree more! That's why I'm so excited that starting tomorrow
I can do all shopping sans kids while they're at school. *squeal*"
While my other friends are posting that they are crying. {Including myself.}
So how about you? Are you cheering or crying over back to school this year?
If you are crying here is a first day of school prayer
Wishing you & your kiddos a fantastic school year,
Mrs. Montgomery

Did You Know?

Did you know that a few of us here at The RHOK were teachers in our former lives?

It's true.

So, we might tell you to talk with your inside voice, or use your quiet feet.

We apologize in advance.  It's just out of habit.

Teacher's are so important...not just because we were once, but they truly help shape the lives of our children.

In my opinion, teaching should be one of the highest paid salaries.  I mean, they are with our children more than we are during the week.  They kiss boo-boos, give hugs, and teach our children morals and values.  They are responsible for educating the future doctors, lawyers, scientist, famous authors, actors, and even Presidents...but they make a fraction of what those professions pay.  It just doesn't seem right, does it?

Thinking back, who was your favorite teacher in school?  What made them so special?

Also, feel free to write or tell us about an exceptional teacher your child has had.

It's Prom Season!
We RHOK girls have been reminiscing.

wearing my sister's dress (oh wait - that's just me)...
The pinnacle of every high school girl's days.

Or maybe we just remember it because it is high school's last hurrah.

Either way, we remember.

Can you match the
