"The Legend of the Easter Egg" Amazon. |
"But why do we have Easter eggs?" Thomas asked.
Mary explained. "Just as a chick breaks out of an egg, so had Jesus broken free of the tomb of death. Easter eggs remind us that Jesus conquered death and gives us eternal life."
With that, I am going to show you how to make some WYLD & KOOL Eggs for your Easter egg hunt!
What you need:
1 dozen hard-boiled eggs, cooled.
5 packages of Wyler's or Kool-Aid packets (do not use grape or pink lemonade)
Water- 2/3 C per packet
5 containers
A willing helper or 2 to help you with the dipping.
Mix 1 packet of Wyler's or Kool-Aid with 2/3 C water in each cup. Be sure to mix over sink, the mix can stain. Add a cooled egg. You don't have to leave the eggs in the cups very long before you'll see them become quite brightly colored. The eggs will smell fruity at first but after they dry, they smell and taste like normal hard-boiled eggs. Beats the vinegar smell right? Have fun with these WYLD & KOOL eggs, everyone will be sure to love them, or at least have fun making them! (p.s. the Kool-Aid packets make better colors, but my convenient dollar store didn't have any.)
Be sure to share any pictures of your Easter Egg hunt on our Facebook page. We love seeing your little ones dressed up and having fun- and you too of course!
