Tunes of Memory

As a girl growing up in Oklahoma I remember the long summer days that turned into the dusty school bus rides home, to and from basketball/football games and then into Christmas Vacation to Spring Break trips to my cousin's farm and to summer once more. The one common denominator that tied all of these together was music. As a girl growing up in the 80's and 90's we loved our cassette players. Oh what Tunes of Memory I have. I love introducing my children to one of our radio stations here in the Tulsa area- GenX that plays all of my faves- minus the country of course!

Tiffany's: I Think We're Alone Now

Oh, the dreams I had of being alone with certain boys, but what would I have done? And so glad I didn't, I got to see some of them a few weeks ago...it wasn't pretty.



Wilson Phillip's:  Hold On

I got my first kiss the summer their music became big. I actually love all of their music. Did you know they have a Christmas album coming out this year?



Poison: Every Rose Has It's Thorn

Bret actually wrote this one in Oklahoma on I-35! Oh and did I mention that finally last year I got to see my Bret in concert? Yeah, HE is my ROCK of LOVE.  I actually made a pact with my husband that we both could kiss Bret if we got on stage at that concert, LOL- and BTW, my DH is not going with me when Bret comes in November and the pact is still on...





And of course I can't forget my Oklahoma favorites Reba McEntire or Garth Brooks, but I will leave you with one of my favorite Garth songs, If Tomorrow Never Comes.
