I am asked quite frequently why I blog and why it is so important to me. No, I don't get paid to sit down at the computer to put my thoughts into the computer on a beautifully decorated, formatted page for the world to read. I don't do it because I am bored and have nothing to do at home or because I am avoiding my household, wife and motherly duties.
I have a B.S. in Business Management with a minor in Communications from Southwestern Oklahoma State University. It has always been my dream to own my own business. I secretly in the past wanted that business to be some sort of publication, and maybe I have never completely let go of that dream. Even though I am not in the job force any longer, I still feel the need to have a "job" until my children are in school. I have been blogging for almost two years on my own private family blog, The 4-Crow's. It keeps my writing skills intact plus it is like an online journal for me to keep track of my family's life and activities as we live, laugh, learn and love together.
When I was asked to join The Real Housewives of Oklahoma, I jumped at the opportunity! Here I was, finally able to start a "business/blog/publication" with six other fantastic communicators about a subject that is near and dear to my heart right now: being a housewife and a mother. I blog so that I can write about what is important to me. If my readers are impacted by that importance in some way, then I know that maybe my dream has already came true. I can only hope and pray that this dream can be carried on to bigger and better things!
Now that you know why I blog, tell us why you blog. The RHOK wants to know!
MckLinky Monday Rules:
1. Answer the question on your blog (or in the comments sections if you haven't a blog).
2. If you answer the question on your blog, add your name to MckLinky so that we all can discover the brilliance that is your mind.
3. Grab our button from the sidebar and post it either in your reply post or on your blog.
4. Enjoy and have some fun!
P.S. We know this is Memorial Day, so we are keeping this MckLinky open ALL week for you to get your thoughts on your blog and link up. I of course will be on the road travelling, so if I don't visit your blog today, I will get to it this week! Have a safe and wonderful Memorial Day! Welcome Summer!!! Yay!
